Coming Back
I wrote this blog originally on Dec 26th
Its 4 AM and im sitting in the airport. I know i havent blogged in a while and I almost miss it. Its been some crazy times this holiday season I think everything is starting to settle down and fall more into somewhat of a routine.
Christmas has come and gone and somehow I ended up on south beach working at apple. I must say I do like the job and i love working on south beach but somehow i see myself getting bored of the drive quick. We stand up all day and i have new shoe pads to cope with that. I miss my job in daytona, it just felt comfortable, I even miss the swim lessons though I do not miss getting in that cold water.
It is now 4 06 I am waiting for my flight to Charlotte NC. There I am renting a car and driving over to Gatlinburg TN. Im so looking forward to just driving through hills. The only hill we see in Mia is mount trashmore, and no one ever wants to be anywhere near that. It smels. Ive always grown up by the ocean and the beach is irreplaceable in my life, but theres something about mountains to absolutely strikes me, maybe its just the power of nature, that some force pushed this up from the ground to thousands of feet in the air.
The only mountains I am really familiar with is the Andes MTs in Venezuela. I cant quite describe it, I might try to place a pic here instead. These smokies are supposed to be much older, so not only did some incredible force push this earth up into the air, but also has worn it down till those jagged edges become round. Think of the energy, the time..remarkable.
....
If someone else asks me how an ipod works i might be inclined to start throwing punches. I wish people would just think a little before they ask questions, or speak for that matter. Before you ask a question you dont have to ask yourself whether it is stupid or not, simply ask yourself if the question makes sense. Thats all I ask.
I have found that my patience has improved greatly, Ive been working on it. A few years ago I would have prob quit my job after a few days, not to mention that when you get used to lifeguarding where most of the time you just sit, standing up all day sucks. I have also discovered how much it suck to sell stuff at the apple store when you are not in the mood to be there. If you are in a good mood though the hours fly by.
So this week i am going to try the whole skiing thing and getting into hot tubs when its shit cold outside, i am kinda stoked, reminds of when i went to michigan and peed out of a balcony in single digit temps ( I might have been somewhat inebriated) though that is self explanatory. No sane guy whips it out in single digit temp for a good reason.
i dont know when this happened but at some point within the last year, i decided that i liked to talk to people. yeah i know. anyways now i find myself talking to people in lines and gas stations even in elevators. dunno what it is but i enjoy life and people so much more now than i did before.
Ohh and btw MIA doesnt have free WiFI, wtf???? 10 bucks a day my ass.
This is the first New Years I wont be spending at home with my parents, We throw such a big party every year that Ive never felt the need to leave the house, besides my pops is adamant about staying until the sunrises on new years so why go anywhere else where they go to sleep early. I guess the only other place id like to go is to Times Square in NY or by the Eiffel Tower in France. Tennessee here I come. Word!
